Clarinet E1/T1 Interface Pod

Overview

The Clarinet 2001 USB controlled E1/T1 pod supports simulation and analysis of many protocols carried over these interfaces including: V5.1, V5.2, Q-SIG, ISDN & SS#7.

The pod has a built-in Bit Error Rate tester, codec (m Law or A Law selectable), digital port and handset port (handset supplied). Input impedance is selectable (75, 100, 120 ohms or high impedance) and high sensitivity allows monitoring of signals down to -36dB. Zero code suppression and coding may also be selected for the T1 port. Power for the pod is taken from the USB port so external power adapters are not required.

System Software

Customers may select to purchase our traditional Run-Time software or new Zumara software. New Zumara software includes the added advantage of support for the host PC NIC or external LAN adapters, for VoIP analysis & simulation.

Both software packages are fully compatible with Clarinet E1/T1 & S/T-U hardware interface pods. Any combination of up to seven E1/T1, S/T-U or LAN interfaces may be connected & controlled simultaneously.

For those customers focused on E1/T1 or S/T-U applications, who do not require Ethernet connectivity now or in the future, our Run-Time software may be preferred.

E1/T1 The pod features a switchable E1/T1 interface with many configurable options. Two receivers are provided for analysis.
IP, X.25, FR For ISDN applications, data can be recorded or generated in a B channel together with BERT, loop, handset and DTMF sources.
Many Protocols Supported The standard Clarinet software supports simulation and analysis of H.323, SIP, ISDN, V5.1, V5.2, SS#7, Q-SIG plus analysis of DASS2, DPNSS and CAS.
Multi-Port Up to seven pods may be simultaneously controlled by one PC host.
Call Simulation 32 (ISDN)/Q-SIG/V5) to 50 (H.323, SIP, SS#7) communications can be generated automatically or manually per interface pod.
Statistics Statistics filters provide detailed performance analysis.
'Hot Connect' Power and connection to the PC host are provided via USB for maximum convenience.
Conformance Test TTCN conformance tests are available for each protocol supported based on ETSI, ITU and ANSI test scripts.
