Product overview
A practical and easy to use tester for basic rate ISDN (S/T and U) and POTS (analogue). In addition to the features offered by the Argus 3U Basic, this model supports POTS (analogue) testing.
The Argus 3U automatically detects the ISDN line configuration including interface type, protocol, point to point/point to multipoint, ISDN services available, and any active call diversions. G.821 bit error rate tests may be run during a call with adjustable good/bad threshold and injection of errors if required.
POTS interfaces are automatically detected and the unit supports CLIP and DTMF display.
All results are displayed on the back lit LCD in clear text. LED's indicate the status of ISDN Layers 1, 2, 3 and power supply.
Optional PC Software
WINplus: Software enabling the quick and simple production of access acceptance reports which document the work performed and the faults that occurred.
WINanalyse: Software providing comprehensive ISDN D channel protocol analysis including any ASN1 content. The Windows user interface aids identification of hidden protocol errors making it a useful tool when installing or servicing an ISDN access.
