X25 Profile Editor: Packet Emulator Init

Protocol mode: Emulation mode:-

• DTE: Clarinet emulates the X25-Packet Data Terminal Equipment.
• DCE: Clarinet emulates the X25-Packet Data Communication Equipment.

Modulo 128: Modulo option:

• No: The packets are numbered modulo 8 (basic operation).
• Yes: The packets are numbered modulo 128 (extended operation).

Q bit used: Use of the Q qualifier bit is optional.

D bit used: Use of the D delivery confirmation bit is optional.

Packet size: Maximum length of the packets.
M more bit management according to the Data unit size parameter.

Data unit size: Maximum length of the data units elaborated from the selected data source.

Window size: Value of the packet window.

Packets/sec./LC: Maximum value of the number of packets transmitted by LC every second.
An empty field gives the don't care meaning.

LCN 0 allowed: LCN 0 option:-

• No: The LCN 0 cannot be used for a call.
• Yes: The LCN 0 can be used for a call.

Logical channel ranges: To define the VC ranges of the different possible types.

Time-outs: Value of time-limits specified for X25 and X75 protocols.
