SS#7 Emulator Configuration

The parameters displayed in the panel area depend on the selected stack of protocols.

Initialize emulators: One or several options must be selected depending on the stack of protocols used by the emulators:-

• Yes: The relevant emulator will be automatically initialized by the Manager at the beginning of the profile execution.
• No: The relevant emulator will not be automatically initialized at the beginning of the profile execution.
  When a Signalling user program is used with processing over this emulator layer, it should carry out the necessary initializations by itself.

The stack of protocols uses a subset of the list of implemented emulators:-

• MTP2 + MTP3 + ISUP
• MTP2 + MTP3 + SCCP + TCAP

with:

• MTP-2: Messages Transfer Part Level 2.
• MTP-3: Messages Transfer Part Level3.
• SCCP: Signalling Connection Control Part.
• ISUP: ISDN User Application.
• TCAP: Transport Control Application Part.
