Profile Editor: Contents of the Profile

The content of the TAB area depends on its type (General, Clarinet x) and on the Clarinet interface type.

General: The operating conditions to run a profile (recording, filtering...)

Clarinet x Interface: The interface number which identifies the Clarinet-interface connected to the host.
The Clarinet selection in the interface list is reported in the corresponding Tab:

  • No: Clarinet: the specification is empty
  • Clarinet i: the specification applies to the current Clarinet-interface
  • Multi-Clarinet: when 'V5' is selected in 'interface type' a set of Clarinet can be selected to define a 'Multi-Clarinet' configuration for emulation of the V5.2 protocol.

Clarinet x Interface Type: The interface type which defines the type of protocols supported by the physical interface indicated in the tab. In a single profile, all the types can be different.

ISDN On E1, T1, U, S/T with ISDN protocols (ETSI, North-American) or Trunk (E1/T1)
V-Series On V24, V35, V36, X24
LAN On Ethernet AUI, 10B2, 10BT
V5.x On E1: single-clarinet (V5.1) and multi-clarinet (V5.2)
ATM On E3 and STM1/STS3c
SS7 On E1 and T1
QSIG On E1 and T1
PSTN On Public switched telephone network

The Copy xxx interface and Paste xxx interface functions enable you to duplicate the specifications of a particular interface to another one (in the same profile or a different one).
