Filter Editor Protocol: Event Record

General info

Initial state: Initial state for recording events:-

  • On: Events are recorded from the launch of the profile until the occurrence of a Record Stop action. Events are recorded according to the specifications of the filter.
  • Off: Initially and until the occurrence of a Record Start action, events are not recorded. Events which can be filtered, are not recorded.
  • Start anticipation: Number of events, which are recorded before the Record Start action occurs.

Stop delay: Number of events, which are recorded after the Record Stop action occurs.

Format of Control/Data fields (independent for SL and DL)

Defined up to: For frame events, the number of decoding levels is defined up to a maximum level for which the data field conveying data is to be considered.
The maximum decoding level must be selected from the following list of choices:-

  • Upper spec: The upper specified protocol in the stack.
  • Decoding 1: Related to layer 1 of the protocol stack.
  • Decoding i: Related to layer i of the protocol stack.
  • Length: Number of octets actually recorded from the beginning of the data field.

Segmented data: The data fields according to a protocol layer N, which uses the Segmentation / Reassembly capability, are processed for generation of PDU events at the upper layer N+1, and can be:-

  • Preserved: The data fields of the segmented data events are recorded.
  • Discarded: The data fields of the segmented data events are truncated.
