Navigation

Movement in the event file by sample.

View/AutoScrolling

Auto-scroll on or off.

View/Next Counter
Tab
The characteristics of the next counter are displayed depending on the current date shown in the Status Bar.

View/Previous Counter
Shift+Tab
The characteristics of the previous counter are displayed depending on the current date shown in the Status Bar.

View/Status Bar
To show or hide the Status Bar (Toggle mode).

Double-clicking on any counter sample
The characteristics of the related counter sample are displayed in an attached bubble.

Edit Statistics Filter
F9
To edit the current Statistics filter file.

View/Toolbar
To show or hide the graphics toolbar
The functions provided, allow you to define the graphic characteristics of the display.

To show or hide the palette bar.
The palette is useful to alter the colours of the different items that are displayed.
The palette configuration is not saved after exiting the Statistics Event Editor.

To show or hide the Legend window.
The Legend is useful to display the basic characteristics of the counters displayed.

To resize the Legend window.
The Legend window can be sized in full-displayed or reduced mode.


Extended list of functions

The following function keys are accessible only if the key has been pressed:-

Description of function

To copy to the clipboard as a bitmap.

To print the chart.

To select the graph type from the list of choices and to show the selected graph type.
This function is only available in History mixed mode (2D or 3D view).

To switch between 3D and 2D views.

To rotate the chart in full 3D view (x and y angles) or fixed 3D position.
In both cases, there is a depth adjustment (z parameter).
This function is only available in 3D view.

Z-Clustered series on or off to place series one beside the other in the Z axis.
This function is only available in History mixed mode (with at least 2 counters) and 3D view.

Zoom on or off.
If zoom is on, the area to be magnified can be selected with the mouse, by holding down the left button and dragging from the left-hand corner.
If zoom is off, vertical and horizontal lines can be displayed with the mouse, whilst holding down the left button

Vertical grid option on or off.

Horizontal grid option on or off.

To edit titles.

To change text fonts.

To change chart options.

Auto-Scrolling mode

Automatic scrolling mode enables movement through the file with the following principles:-

  • The new lines are displayed on the left-hand side of the screen and older lines disappear on the right-hand side.
  • New counter samples appear at a fixed rate (depending on the time sampling during profile execution).

Entering this mode is obtained via F8 or the button if the scrolling mode is off, or with the -s option specified in the Event Editor process launching parameters.

Exiting this mode is achieved by striking F8 or the button.
