ATM Signalling Behaviour: IE Edition

Message compatibility instruction indicator: Selection of options for the Message type information element (Flag and Message action indicator fields).

Buffer of IE(s): The buffer can be empty, or composed of one or several IE(s).
The highlighted IE is the current one, which can be selected from a list of choices, or used-defined.

• Current IE: Editing of the IE type
  • ( / ) None: No IE is defined. The line is not used.
  • (c/x) designation: The IE is selected from the list of choices.
  • (c/x) User defined ie: Values (as codeset and type in the codeset) can be manually entered between the brackets. The User defined ie string is automatically displayed if the values do not belong to the list of choices.
• Access to the list of IE types for the current IE.
  The O or M eventual attributes indicate that, according to the standard, the related IE is Optional or Mandatory.

Coding: To edit the content of the current IE according to the standard encoding fields if any.

Hexa: To edit the content of the current IE if any in hexadecimal.

Up: To move up the current IE within the buffer.

Down: To move down the current IE within the buffer.

Codeset shifting: Selection of the codeset shifting procedure type:-
