How to Setup a Clarinet-Book Test Configuration

Setting a test configuration

Clarinet Run-time enables you to create test profiles with the Wizard from the Template list by selecting:

• Profile->New->zTEST application (at the bottom of the list).
• Profile with a description including:
  • The interface type
  • The number of Clarinet Book to be tested
  • The emulation mode
  • Some data type
• Protocol filter with a description including data type to be displayed (Bert, Frame Relay, ...)
• Statistics filter with a description including data type to be counted (Frame Relay, ...)

Note 1: Bert test can require manual start/stop commands.

Note 2: Statistics filter for Frame Relay has to be selected when Frame Relay is specified in the description of the profile. It will count HDLC data frames and flow rate.

For each type of Clarinet-Book, a table summarizes the list of available profiles:

• Test of Clarinet-Book USB
• Test of Clarinet-Book SCSI
