How to Simulate Bert over an E1/T1 Trunk

Clarinet system supports BERT measurement on the E1/T1 Trunk interfaces.

Setting the test conditions for BERT simulation

A new profile can be created with the Wizard from the Template list by selecting:

• Trunk application.
• Profile with a description including Trunk, Simu, PH=E1 or  T1, DL=BERT
• Filter with a description including DL=Bert

Profiles resulting from the wizard are ready for Bert Simulation over the B channel number 1.

When Running the profile, the Bert Measurement has to be launched through Manual commands:

• Interface 1 -> DL-Bert -> Measure

Example: Modifications to simulate BERT in TS number 5

In the profile go to  Interface-Spec... ->Data Link:

• TD Time Slots: select 5 and deselect 1
• RD Time Slots: select 5 and deselect 1
