How to Modify the H225 Messages Replying to an Incoming Call

This page describes the way to configure the SETUP message when simulating an H323 End-Point with the following features:-

  • Connection to an Ethernet network
  • Registration with a Gatekeeper using H225-RAS
  • Establishment of signalling channels using H225
  • Establishment of media channels using H245

Changing the CALL PROC content of Incoming calls

the profile, H323_simu_mac_endpoint_RAS.aip, needs to have some modifications of the default addresses:-

  • Open the profile:-
    • Profile=>Open IP...=>H323_simu_mac_endpoint_RAS.aip.
  • Modifications of the  CALL PROCEEDING  messages used by the H323 Endpoint:-

    • Adding more IEs to the CALL PROCEEDING message (e.g. Progress Indicator).
      Initialize Emulator=>H323=>Responder behavior=Call Proceeding=>None=>Progress Indicator=>Coding
    • The following field should be configured:-
      • Coding Standard
      • Location
      • Description
  • Save the profile under a new name:-
    • Profile=>Save as=>filename.aip.
  • Select this new name in the LAN profile and save it.
    • Profile=.Save as=>filename.acp.

Profile H323_simu_mac_endpoint_RAS.aip  needs to have some modifications of the default addresses:- 

  • Open the profile:-
    • Profile=>Open IP...=>H323_simu_mac_endpoint_RAS_fs.aip.
  • Modifications to the CONNECT messages used by the H323 Endpoint :-

    • Adding more IE to the CONNECT (Progress Indicator as an example).
      Responder =>Connect=>None=>Progress Indicator=>Coding
    • The following field should be configured:-
      • Coding Standard
      • Location
      • Description
  • Save the profile under a new name:-
    • Profile=>Save asèfilename.aip.
  • Select this new name in the LAN profile and save it.
    • ProfileèSave asèfilename.acp.
