How to Modify the SETUP of and H323 Simulation over Ethernet

This page describes the way to configure the SETUP message when simulating an H323 End-Point with the following features:-

  • Connection to an Ethernet network

  • Registration with a Gatekeeper using H225-RAS

Changing the SETUP content of Outgoing calls

Profile H323_simu_mac_endpoint_RAS.aip needs to have some modifications of the default addresses:- 

  • Open the profile:
    • ProfileèOpen IP...èH323_simu_mac_endpoint_RAS.aip.

  • Modifications of the  SETUP  messages used by the H323 Endpoint :

    • Adding more IE in the SETUP (Called Party number as an example)
      GeneratorèH323Destination1èEditèSetupèNoneèCalled Party NumberèCoding
    • The following field should be configured:
      • Type of number
      • Numbering Plan
      • Number Digits
  • Save the profile under a new name:
    • ProfileèSave asèfilename.aip.
  • Select this new name in the LAN profile and save it.
    • ProfileèSave asèfilename.acp.
