How to Use the TRANSDATA Connection Over ISDN Interface

The TRANSDATA connection enables the B Channel content to be extracted & inserted on to an external X24/V11 interface.

Connecting the unit and setting the test conditions

The connections of Clarinet-Book USB units and the settings of test conditions for basic simulation are detailed in the following pages:

Additionally, the TRANSDATA connection and the list of signals is described in 'Connections: TRANSDATA - Interface signals'.

Profiles resulting from the wizard are ready for generating one outgoing call and accepting incoming calls in ISDN Simulation.

Example: Modifications to connect Transdata to the B channel in Outgoing call

In the profile go to Generator... ->Comm 1   ->Edit  and select:

  • Active source: Transdata
    • Data extracted from the allocated B channel by Clarinet are sent on R direction of the Transdata.
    • Data received from T direction of the Transdata inserted to the B channel by Clarinet.

Application: User simulation - Connecting B channel established by an Outgoing call to Transdata

Profile resulting from the wizard is ready for Bert Simulation (User simu) over B channel number 1.

  • In the profile go to Generator... ->Comm 1   ->Edit  and select:
    • Active source: Transdata

Application: User simulation - Connecting B channel established by an Incoming call to Transdata

Profiles resulting from the wizard are ready for Bert Simulation (User simu) over the B channel number 1.

  • In the profile go to Responder
  • Under Active source select: Connect
    • In the column then connect data source select: Transdata
