How to Simulate one Basic Call over BRI U/S-T from the User Side
Simulation of an ISDN terminal is one of the features directly covered
by the templates included in the Clarinet Run-Time.
Connecting the unit
The Clarinet Book USB U/S-T which simulates the
User side in front of a Network, uses one of the interfaces:
- U: the "From LT" RJ45
connector. See: pin-out
- S/T: one of the "S/T Bus"
RJ45 connectors. See: pin-out
See the pictures in 'How to connect BRI interface
to Clarinet-Book USB'
Creating the profile for BRI-User simulation
A new profile can be created with the Wizard from the Template list by
selecting:
- Profile->New->ISDN......See: building
a test
- Profile with a description including ISDN, Simu, User,
PH=S0 or U, SL=Q931
- Filter with a description including SL= Q931, DL=BOP
Example using the wizard:
- ProfileèNewèISDNèETSIèisdn_etsi_simu_usr_s0.acpèFilter?èisdn_etsi_bop.acf
- ProfileèNewèISDNèATT-5ESSèisdn_att_simu_usr_u.acpèFilter?èisdn_att_bop.acf
Profiles resulting from the wizard are ready for monitoring in the D
channel with Q931 decoding
- Modifications to apply to the profile regarding physical interface:
- U Options:
Power source monitoring.
- S/T Options:
Power source monitoring, 100 Ohms termination.....
Saving the profile:
- ProfileèSave
asèfilename.acp.
