How to Listen to Voice/Tones over ISDN Interface

Clarinet Run-time enables the monitoring of tones or voice in both directions of one B channel simultaneously with the ISDN-D channel.

Connecting the unit and setting the test conditions:

The connections of Clarinet-Book USB units and the test condition settings for basic monitoring are detailed in the following pages:

Profiles resulting from the wizard are ready for Q931 or X25 monitoring in the D channel over BRI or PRI.

The B channel should be defined by a fixed value.

Example: Modifications of profiles to monitor voice with handset over B channel #2

In the profile go to Interface-Spec... ->Analog  and select:

  • Handset speaker 1 Cofidec 1
  • Handset speaker 2 Cofidec 2
  • Go to Cofidec 
    • Cofidec 1: 
      • Analysis Time-slot   select 2
      • Direction of Analysis Time-Slot: Input.
    • Cofidec 2: 
      • Analysis Time-slot   select 2
      • Direction of Analysis Time-Slot: Output.

Example: Modifications to monitor DTMF tones over B channel #2

In the profile go to Interface-Spec... ->Analog  and select:

  • DTMF 1 Cofidec 1
  • DTMF 2 Cofidec 2
  • Go to Cofidec 
    • Cofidec 1: 
      • Analysis Time-slot   select 2
      • Direction of Analysis Time-Slot: Input.
    • Cofidec 2: 
      • Analysis Time-slot   select 2
      • Direction of Analysis Time-Slot: Output.
