ISDN Simulator - Sources in B Channels
The sources are shared between:
- Permanent connections (Data Link, TRANSDATA, TRANSIT or the
two Cofidec interfaces). The permanent connections are initialized upon
profile launching and set for the entire duration of the profile.
- Switched connections established by the Q931 simulator for
outgoing and incoming communications.
The sources are allocated firstly to permanent connections and then are
dynamically shared between switched connections.
If the source is not available at the time of the switched connection
to the B channel, the communication is cleared by the emulator.
On switched connections, the sources, depending on their type, are connected
to B channels independently during the first state (establish state) and
the second state (active state) of the communication:
- Establish source: connected during the establish state as soon
as the B channel has been identified (mainly for broadcasting the dialing
tone).
- Active source: connected during the active state.
A set of common sources is available for switched connection to the Time-Slots.
The sources are for multiple connection or single
connection:

- Indirectly by Cofidec output for broadcasting on several communications
of the analog source connected to the Cofidec via the analog matrix
connection.
- Example of configuration for simulation of both directions of a TS:
- Cofidec 1: analysis on Input direction.
- Cofidec 1: simulation (implicit Output direction).
