Options

The options available under the T1 'Options' button allow the user to define several modes which affect the "line coding" and the "channel zero suppression code".

  • Framing mode

  • Zero suppress code

  • 64 Kbits data TS

Depending on the selection, the Line and the DS0 channels have different modes:

  • AMI= Alternate Mark Inversion
  • B8ZS= Bipolar 8 Zeros Substitution
  • Bell Zero Code Suppression=  Bit 7 of an all zeros channel is replaced by 1

  • B8ZS => B8ZS line coding, and no other channel zero code suppression
  • Jammed bit => AMI line coding, and Bell Zero Code Suppression
(Bit 7 of an all zero channel byte is replaced by a one)
  • Transparent => AMI line coding, and no channel zero code suppression

In all modes, except B8ZS, the line coding is AMI.

When one channel is set as "data channel",  the "channel zero code suppression" is disabled individually for each channel.
