V5 Protocol: Multi-LinksThe V5.2 protocol specifies use of 1 to 16 links. The management of the links is included in the following standard: ETSI ETS300 347-1 The purpose of this document is to provide information about the options supported by Clarinet simulation. E1 interfaces
By selecting V5x type in the profile, Clarinet allows management of a V5.2 interface: the 'Multi-clarinet" indication corresponds to a group of 1 to 6 Clarinet units, each of them corresponding to an E1 interface. The SHIFT and CTRL keys allow selection of the group. Links
Each E1 interface corresponds to a V5.2 LINK. A link ID is allocated to each of them in the panel. C-Channels
The number of physical C-channels is specified by entering the value in the field. Each Clarinet E1 interface supports up to 2 physical C channels. The panel is automatically updated to display the list of physical C-Channels as specified in the standard (all the TS16's and then all the TS15's). The logical C-channels are specified by the value of the Logical ID. If no value is specified, the C-channel is in STANDBY state. If a value is specified, it is in ACTIVE state The V5.2 standard includes the following definitions:
The C-paths are allocated to the logical C-channel. The allocation of the C-path complies with the specifications of ETS300347-1 paragraph 18 and figure 25.
